Five cities, one Grosse Pointe.

Grosse Pointe is a collection of five cities that combine to create one of the most beautiful and engaging communities in the United States. Set alongside Lake St. Clair, the communities of Grosse Pointe got their start thanks to their close proximity to Detroit, at the time a hub for trade and commerce. Originally settled by the French in 1750 as a farming community, Grosse Pointe was transformed after the invention of the automobile into a vacation destination for wealthy Detroit industrialists such as Henry Ford and Horace Dodge.
